It’s just two more days to the weekends! You can do it 🙂 anyway, I’ve been trying to get the time to type this post out but I’ve been busy with preparing for events and what not.

Now that the event was over (hooray!), I’m finding the time to type it!

I got this back in December actually, but started using it on the night of 5 February.

If you caught my IG post, you’d have known I was so excited to dig into it.

Now, after digging for a bit, we’ll see how it fares, shall we?

When Joan announced the launch of this, I was looking for another moisturiser ahead of time because my SANA moisturiser had 1/3 of it left.

As I bought this during a sale period, I thought 2 moisturisers for this price was pretty worth it, why not?

Look & Feel

This came in a box like this:

The tub is probably plastic but it feels heavy and steady.

You basically get a small spatula in the tub once you twist open the cover / cap.

There is also a separate cover you’ll have to remove before using either one, with a spatula.

That spatula, we’ll just say that I’ve only used it once LOL. For swatching.

Too much of a hassle to use it when I could just use my fingers. However, I do wash and pat my fingers dry right before dipping it into the tub.

I’ve never dropped this before but if this were to drop on my toes, I guarantee you that I’ll be cursing! ????

Application

The texture of the Day Cream was thicker yet easy to spread while the texture of the Night one was more of a gel-cream type.

This was the part that got me skeptical because night creams were always thicker than day creams, and this was the opposite.

I’ll review them separately. But before that, you may click this video to see how the textures look side by side!

Day cream:

It is like a cream-type clay that takes just a teeny weeny more effort (than the night cream) to melt into the skin.

I have nothing bad to say about this day cream because i usually follow up with sunscreen in the day. Makeup after, if I’m working.

It never interfered with my makeup or sunscreen so that’s great (same goes for the Night cream). It smells like a subtle fresh green tea and I think it helps slightly in the morning ????

For sure, this is the kind that goes deeper into the skin in terms of being moisturising because of the texture. It never made me produce extra sebum and moisturises well.

A plus point is that this is also infused with Vitamin C! I’ll attached a picture from NeogenLab talking more about this in their informative picture later.

However, whether or not the Vitamin C actually did something, I can’t say much about it because I don’t notice a significant difference?

Night cream:

This, on the other hand, is a gel-cream consistency. It’s not like the Benton Goodbye Redness Centella cream where it’s full-on gel.

This has a very gel-like yet creamy consistency while it glides over your skin.

I’d say it’s more soothing and hydrating than moisturising compared to the day cream.

The smell for this is yet another relaxing scent.

Lavender. I wouldn’t say I love Lavender (dispersed from essential oils in aroma diffusers), but this was a very calm and toned-down scent of Lavender.

This, is also infused with a vitamin and that would be Vitamin E! It reduces skin stress while strengthening your skin’s barrier.

Also, the reason why this cream is called Vita Duo cream.

There are days when I love this and days when I like it a little less. It is definitely hard to state the reason why but it could be due to the humidity of my country.

Some days I feel like this makes me look slightly more oily after a few hours at night.

Both creams do not have any lingering scent at all and if I have to pick a favourite, I like the Day one better with my oily combination skin.

Having said that, I do use them interchangeably sometimes too or both at night – Day one first, followed by the night.

Do what works for you, and play around with it. You can even use the Night one as a sleeping mask like how they suggested 🙂
