Review | Klairs Supple Preparation Facial Toner

Klairs Supple Preparation Toner Featured

Welcome back to another review!

If you’re into K Beauty, you must have heard of the brand ‘Klairs’ or ‘dear Klairs’ somewhere else.

I knew about it from the Wishtrend channel on YouTube, if you’ve not heard about it, go check it out!

They have tons of useful videos, whether you’re a dry skin type or an oily skin type. They’ve got everything.

LOL, not sponsored. I just want more people to appreciate what they are doing 🙂

So back to the main point of this post, the review!

Note: I bought this with my own money and all thoughts are honest and not sugarcoated.
Disclaimer: This post may contain Wishtrend Affiliate links marked with an asterisk (*). I do earn a really small amount if you were to purchase from my links at no extra cost to you. Buying a domain includes renewing it every year and it isn’t cheap for me, so if you’re willing to purchase through my links to support me in some way, I will be really really REALLY grateful if you do. Thank you so much! 🙂

According to Klairs Cosmetics, the toner:

Contains some key ingredients such as Phyto-Oligo to help thoroughly moisturize the skin and resolve skin dryness, and wheat amino acids to help reduce inflammation in the skin.

With various plant extracts and soothing ingredients blended together, a calming, non-irritating, hydrating toner for all skin types even for the most sensitive. Quickly absorbs and provides full moisture. The skin glows brighter with high moisture retention.

The moisturizing toner rapidly absorbs into the skin while prolonging hydration by more than 20% than conventional toners with hyaluronic acid and beta-glucan.Klairs Cosmetics

Phyto-Oligo is apparently a patented ingredient of Klairs Cosmetics and it has been specially formulated to nourish and moisturise the skin, if you were wondering.

Klairs Supple Preparation Toner Product Back

This product is recommended for all skin types and is a scented one. They recently released an unscented toner and unfortunately, I have not gotten hold of it because I’m currently using another toner. And I don’t really like switching toners too often.

Klairs has claimed that it is:

+ Cruelty-free
+ Vegan Friendly
+ Ethanol-free
+ Paraben-free
+ Silicon-free
+ Steroid-free
+ Artificial coloring-free
+ Artificial fragrance-free
+ pH 6.0 ± 1.0

Look & Feel

Klairs Supple Preparation Toner Product

It comes in a dark translucent type of plastic bottle and it wasn’t as big as I expected although it holds 180 ml of product. Nothing too fancy, I like.

Here’s the other sides of the box that came with it. Click the picture for a clearer view.

Application

The texture of this toner is like a watery serum? Thin enough to absorb quickly, yet thick enough to feel the viscosity. Not sure if you know what I mean haha.

It was also, of course, easy to apply but I realised applying it alone can feel really sticky. I don’t know if it’s just me but I finish it with a moisturiser anyway.

Guys, I’m sorry if you want me to describe the scent. I can’t find a word to describe it, though it doesn’t smell off putting or artificially sweet.

Pretty far from that. I had no issues with the scent. It is also colourless.

Overall, application was great! Absorbs quickly enough to layer it in 10-15 seconds intervals. I do about 3 layers usually since Singapore is humid.

Yes

  • Quick absorption (good for 3/5/7 skin method)
  • Good hydrating toner, it does make my skin feel supple

No

  • Price tag is a tad bit high for the amount I’m getting (to me)
  • Slightly sticky and tacky when used alone

Am I Repurchasing?

To be honest, I was expecting really good results from this. So much that I think I felt underwhelmed after I was done with this bottle.

It was good while it lasted but it didn’t turn out exceptionally great. I do like this product, don’t get me wrong.

However, it didn’t seem to reduce any redness, or any excess sebum. It just pretty much maintained the skin at a certain level.

Maybe my skin got used to it? Who knows.

Still want to try this or the unscented toner? Here’s the direct link to the Klairs Supple Preparation Facial Toner*, you may also search for the unscented toner if you wish to purchase one with no fragrance as well.

Thinking of getting it in a set? This toner is included in many different sets such as the 3 Step Vitamin and Soothing Set* and the 3 Step Vitamin and Calming Set* to suit your needs.

If you’re contemplating to see if this works for you, Wishtrend sells this in a miniature bottle too for just USD 6.50.

You may click to see what’s in those sets (and also, do note that I don’t earn commission from you clicking in to check) before deciding to purchase it 🙂

Overall Rating:

3 out of 5

I was hoping that I had more to say in this review but it didn’t turn out that way.

Nevertheless, I hope I didn’t deter you from trying this toner (or the unscented one, if you’re sensitive to fragrance).

It’s great, you know, but that’s all.

Ending it here for today!

Let me know if you’ve tried it and share your thoughts with others! Any toner you’d like me to try? Comment down below!
