Review | Mamonde Rose Water Toner

Mamonde Rose Water Toner Featured

Welcome back to another week of review!

I’ve got here with me the Mamonde Rose Water Toner which I got during the 1+1 sale from Olive Young (Korea’s drugstore).

Honestly, it was something I wanted to get for a really long time but I ended up getting the Nuxe’s Toner first and I stopped searching for this.

Look & Feel

Mamonde Rose Water Toner Product

This products says that it is a “Rose water toner (that) contains 90.97% rose water, instead of regular water, for more soothing hydration with each swipe”.

That’s also basically what it means on the pink label on top of the toner!

It’s a pretty long bottle that holds 250ml, this is considered quite a lot.

It’s even more than my Pyunkang Yul Essence Toner which has 200ml in it, although it’s in a smaller bottle.

The cap is also pretty secure. However, it somehow leaked a little when I was travelling back from Korea haha.

Just a little, not too much.

Application

This is a really watery toner, that it literally feels like water. LOL.

Mamonde Rose Water Toner Application

I have no idea why I took this picture, but it was probably just to show you the colour (which is also transparent).

Hahaha.

Application was pretty straight to the point.

I always swipe it with a very thin cotton pad so I don’t waste any excess product in the cotton.

After that, I layer this 2-3 times more for that intense hydration.

Even with oily and probably dehydrated skin, it never felt overly moisturising or hydrating for me.

The more you apply this, you will realise that it’s not just a watery toner.

You do actually feel the moisturising factor when your hand directly touches your skin as you pat the product in.

It’s not just a toner that evaporates into thin air once it’s absorbed.

I have layered this 5 times and only used this in my night time routine when my skin was really irritated.

I didn’t feel dry from it at all throughout and I think it could also be due to the fact that I live in a humid country.

If you sleep in an air-conditioned room, you might not think this is enough.

So do what works best for you!

I usually use this with a moisturiser 99% of the time.

The scent of this is rose, obviously. Though this smells much better than the NUXE’s toner or regular rosehip oil.

At first, it was like ‘woah, rose. You don’t even have to tell me’.

But now, it comes as a ‘mm, rose. Relaxing”.

Do you get me? Lol, it’s a really relaxing scent for me now.

Yes

  • Affordable and worth it
  • Good for dry, sensitive, and even oily acne prone skins
  • Hydrating and moisturising
  • Huge amount
  • Ease of availability
  • Smells good
  • Formulated free of 7 harmful ingredients (stated above)

No

  • I would say that it’s nothing wow for me, and I guess that goes in the cons section.

Am I Repurchasing?

Probably not. It did a proper job at hydrating and moisturising my skin but nothing wow.

It could have been the hype because this was the product that people were raving about maybe 1-2 years ago?

But since I’ve tried it, I realised there’s nothing much to praise about hehe.

I have another toner from this line and once I get to testing that out, you’ll be able to see the review!

So keep your eyes peeled for the next Mamonde Toner 🙂
